In 2009 the company “Blue Reef Aquarium”, which owns several aquariums throughout the UK, has opened a new aquarium in Bristol.

Here visitors can get acquainted with the amazing variety of marine life, from sharks and giant lobsters to the charming seahorses and tropical fish. Among the inhabitants of the Aquarium, a giant octopus, clams, Nautilus, manta rays, several species of turtles, poisonous frogs of South America.

Walking through the underwater tunnel, tourists can get close to observe the life of a tropical reef.

A separate exposition is devoted to the marine fauna of the British Isles, which on closer acquaintance turns out to be no less colourful, mysterious and interesting than the exotic inhabitants of the tropical seas.

The Aquarium offers classes and educational tours for school children.
