Acne is an ancient city, situated on the ground North of the Mexican state of Campeche. It was built by the Maya people in the year 400 BC and was abandoned around 1500 ad. In the era of the late classic period, Acne belonged to the state of Kalamboli.

Scientists suggest that the city was populated twice. 400 BC – peaceful Indians who were engaged in agricultural work. They have developed a system of water canals for rainwater that ran to the fields. To 150 A. D. the city was abandoned, perhaps because of conflict with neighbouring tribes. After half a Millennium, the city housed new the Indians who built the pyramids that can be seen today. New residents revived the city, making it a major trade center of the southern Peninsula Utcan.

Most cities of this period resemble each other. Acne has on its territory a wide green field, outside in the shade of the thick, but still passable shrubs, there are various pedestals. One of the most notable buildings is the main Church, located on 40-meter platform. To the left of the visible Church high hill with columns, and on the right is a stepped platform, similar to a pyramid, stretched along the horizon. It is called the Big House. Perhaps it served as a viewing platform for observing the rituals.

An unusual structure – a small pyramid, which, instead of the steps has a long inclined road. Next to it is a small Playground for ball games. She wore entertaining, but took away the lives of two players of the losing team's captain and another, they were given as a sacrifice.

Great Acropolis is a huge Playground, fenced from the wall, and on the sides of the two pyramids. The main thing here – a five-level structure, with a height of 35 meters. Each level has small rooms-cells. The light in them gets only during sunset.

It offers a magnificent panorama on itself Ecnu, and beyond.
