Village house-Khas, is located in the southern part of the capital of India Delhi is a large complex, once consisting of a large swimming pool, a madrasa (Islamic Seminary, a mosque, and several pavilions built around a small village nearby, which appeared in the XIII century, during the reign of the Delhi Sultanate. The name "house of the Khasa" comes from the Urdu: "house" means a pond or pool, and "Khas" king.

Initially, during the reign of the ruler Khilji was created only a huge reservoir, which was to provide water to all residents of the city of Siri. Later, during the reign of the next monarch – Firuz Shah Tughlaq (1351-1388) of dynasty Tughlaq, on-site house Khas appeared and other buildings: the madrasa, a small mosque, six pavilions, crowned with domes and Firuz Shah advance to take care of your body after death - had built for himself a tomb. Madrassas in the house Khas was built in 1352 and immediately became a leading educational institution in the whole of the Delhi Sultanate. Therefore, Delhi has acquired great importance in the Islamic world, becoming, after the fall of Baghdad, the most popular city among those Muslims who were eager to learn about Islam as much as possible. The madrasah is L-shaped, and was built along the water tank. One part has a length of 76 meters and the other 138 metres. And right at their junction, on the corner, is the tomb of the Firuz Shah. The Governor died at the age of 90 after a long illness. His tomb is a square building, built of local quartzite, so in the sunlight it shines and shimmers. The architecture is mixed, as was traditional, Indian and Islamic styles, but at the same time it is simple details and absence of various decorative elements. In the tomb there are three graves: the Firuz Shah, his son and grandson.

On the North side of the madrassa is a mosque. It's the only room with a domed roof has a very small size – about 5 feet long and 2, 5 meters wide. Double range of columns surrounding an open prayer "pad" under the open sky.

On the other hand there is a large garden in which they were built six stunning pavilions-gazebos. They all have different sizes and shapes, but each of them has a roof in the shape of a dome that is supported by carved columns.

The complex house the Khasa also boasts a wonderful Park, which was even called a deer – in it there are various kinds of these animals. Besides these, there are rabbits, Guinea pigs, peacocks and other animals and birds.

Today the house Khas has attracted particular attention as the Indian authorities, and public organizations. On their initiative has been created and is now implemented several programs to restore, preserve and develop the cultural and historical complex.
