The Church of the Nativity of the blessed virgin Mary in Rozhdestveno is the third Church built on this spot on the banks of the Oredezh.
The first mention of the settlement at these places dates to 1499 In those days was located here Nikolsko-Sreznevsky the churchyard and the Church "the Great Nikola".
