Trinity Church is one of the iconic sights of Sayanogorsk. At the end of the twentieth century, Orthodox Christians of the city gathered signatures for a petition to allocate them a plot of land to build their own Church. The local authority has supported the believers, and then began the construction of Holy Trinity Church.

In 1992, the Foundation of the future Church was laid the first stone. Thanks to the help of the Sayan aluminum plant builders managed to build a Church that is recognized for the perfection of the external shape of one of the most beautiful in southern Siberia. Special decoration of Trinity Church is the bell tower, the bells which were cast in one of the Voronezh factories by special order.

The ceremonial osveshenii Church in honor of the Holy Trinity took place in July 1999, it was held by the Archbishop of Abakan and Kyzyl Vincent, now Metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan. The temple has become a real decoration of Sayanogorsk, the second largest city of the Republic of Khakasia.

The building of Trinity Church is a brick building. A quadrangle with a small narthex topped by an octagonal drum. Completes the dome with a spire.

Today at Church Trinity Church operates a Sunday school for children, and publishes a monthly newspaper "Sayanogorsk Evangelist".
