HOMESTEAD Lands-Lyubetsky in the town of Volkovysk – a monument of architecture of XIX century, built in the styles of Baroque and classicism.
Originally the Palace was built in the XVIII century for the family of Scipio del Capmo. In 1807, Prince Franciszek ksawery Drucki-Lyubetsky married his 14-year-old niece Countess Maria Scipio del Campo. Drucki-Lyubetsky was a representative of one of the noblest princely houses of the Belarusian. In later years he became Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Poland and the Governor of Vilna province, participated in the campaigns of Suvorov in Italy and Switzerland.
One time Drucki-Lyubetsky was Ambassador in France. The country fascinated him, and he wanted to build a Palace, similar to those he had seen at home. After concussion Francis-Xavier retired and settled on the estate in szczuczyn.
In the XIX century the Palace was rebuilt by order of Prince Drucki-Lyubetsky architect Tadeusz Rostworowski on the model of the Small Trianon in Versailles, surrounded by its beautiful Park.
The family Lands-Lubech Palace belonged to before 1939. During the great Patriotic war the Germans set up in the Palace hospital, so he practically has not suffered. After the war in szczuczyn was the garrison flight parts, and the Palace became the officers ' club. After disintegration of the USSR the military part was removed from Schuchin, and nobody needs a magnificent Palace began to collapse quickly.
In 2011 began the restoration of the Palace. It decided to transmit to the regional Department of education for the needs of the younger generation Schuchin. Now the Palace is closed for restoration, which is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
