Khosta fortress, located on the North-East of the yew-and-boxwood tree grove, on the right Bank of the river Host is one of the main attractions of the region.

Khosta fortress erected to the Eastern, Northern and Western part of it was protected by natural cliffs. The southern part was fortified defensive line out of the wall of the shaft, gate and three towers. During the construction of the walls, the soil was removed up to a rocky area. Built them up gradually, rather narrow tiers with a height of 5-6 m. the walls were decorated with battlements. Walls was carried out with stone blocks with observance of rows in the shell and the backing of broken stones on the solution of limestone mixed with fine gravel and sea sand.
The tower consisted of two or three tiers with the top battle ground and multistory wooden beams. The three-storey tower was 11 M. gates had an arched ceiling, stone threshold, split-rail fence and a massive wooden canvas. To this day fragments of walls and the remains of four towers.
Southeast corner of the Khosta fortress was defended by the tower, preserved to a height of 4, 5 m. From the West side of the tower has a window-porthole. Outside the South-East corner is seen a wall with a groove intended to be a log of the bolt. The second tower, having the shape of an irregular rectangle in base, located about 45 km from the first. In East and West wall of the tower you can see two tiers of grooves. Each floor has a height of 1, 7-1, 8 m. the Second and third towers are separated by only 11 m. unfortunately, the tower has remained very bad. Just West of the gates in the wall housed a buttress which defended the gate. Just 10 metres from him is the last tower, the height of which was originally not less than 11 m.
