In the Central Park of Kaliningrad is one of the most original monuments dedicated to the outstanding person - to Baron Munchausen. The monument was established in June 2005 on the initiative of public organization "Grandchildren Munchausen". Sculpture of artistic blacksmiths George Petau from Germany became a gift to the 750 anniversary of the city.
Sculptural composition consists of: steel wall, in which the cut-out silhouette of a flying at the core of Baron Munchausen, the core and pedestal, on the opposite side of which is written the two names of the city (Konigsberg and Kaliningrad). On the pedestal is a plaque indicating that this sculpture was donated to the city of Kaliningrad Bodenwerder, which is the birthplace of the prototype Munchausen - Karl Friedrich Hieronymus Baron von Munchausen.
