Near Friedland gate is the Church of the Intercession, located in the Lutheran Church Rosenau, erected in 1926. Surviving the Evangelical Church of königsberg was built in neo-Gothic style and had a four-storey square tower with a clock.
The construction was started in June 1914 in the suburbs Rosenau, included in the composition of the city of Konigsberg. The Foundation for the Church was lined with granite boulders of the old city buildings. The first world war and subsequent heavy financial position of the Prussian state had delayed the construction of the building for an indefinite period, and only in early December, 1926, a solemn consecration of the temple. During the Second world war the building of the Church is practically not affected, but no longer worship was conducted. In Soviet times the building was used as a warehouse of one of the enterprises of the city. In the 1990s, the Evangelical Church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church.
In the late twentieth century in the drum tower spire (under the cross) was found a letter, which was reported about people who participated in the construction of the Church, and drawings. In the letter referred to the pastor Wagner, which the authorities gave approval for the construction, master A. Quadfasel, architect A. Pfaan and artisanal warden Perske. In our day of appreciation is preserved in the Museum of the temple.
Now the building Razanauskas Church is the Church of the Intercession. The historic building has the status of an object of cultural heritage (regional significance) and monument. The building was reconstructed, the area around the temple is refined, and in the Church is the iconostasis of manual work.
