Cyzicus (Vvedensky) monastery is located near the city centre of Kazan, Dekabristov street. The monastery was named in honor of the Holy martyrs of Cyzicus.

The monastery was founded by the Patriarch Adrian in the years 1687-1691. In the third century in the city of Cyzicus were martyred nine Christians. In 1645 Metropolitan of Cyzicus and Anempodist sent in the gift of the relics of these martyrs to the Russian Tsar Mikhail Fyodorovich. In 1693 relics were sent to Kazan Cyzicus abode. Relics and the miraculous icon of the Holy martyrs of Cyzicus was the main Shrine of the monastery. They were revered as healers fever.

The architectural ensemble of Cyzicus monastery formed a temple in honor of the presentation of the blessed virgin Mary, the temple of the Holy Prince Vladimir, five-tiered bell tower (the height of the cross 56 meters), the Church of the assumption of the blessed virgin Mary and the chapel.

After the revolution of 1917 Cyzicus, the monastery was closed. By 1930 it was destroyed the bulk of the cemetery disappeared. Thanks to the active protests of the Museum's division managed to maintain fraternal body and gate Church. In the surviving buildings until the end of the 90-ies there was a recruiting office.

In 2001, by order of the authorities of the city of Kazan complex Cyzicus monastery was transferred to the Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 2002 the Governor of Cyzicus of the monastery was appointed Archimandrite Daniel (Mogutov) and on the Baptism of the first worship was held. In 2009, due to the close construction of the pipeline, only two meters away from communal housing, there is a real threat of collapse of the building. Kazan residents and local TV company "Efir" achieved the cessation of work on the laying of gas pipes.

Currently there are construction and restoration work. In the Cathedral of Prince Vladimir daily services are held.
