Museum of the history of Khabarovsk is the youngest Museum in the city. Opened in 2004, the Museum is housed in the former House of culture of the plant "Energomash". In the foyer on the wall you can see a panoramic photo of the city emblem, the author of which was Michael Muroga.
In the Museum there are many historical documents, photographs, artefacts, books and postcards coming to the Museum from local residents. On an ongoing basis presents artifacts that tell about historical events capital of the far East, starting from the moment of its Foundation until the beginning of the XXI century - the pre-revolutionary period, the revolution of 1917, the civil war in Khabarovsk, the first five-year plans, the Great Patriotic war and the postwar years, the years of perestroika and modern Khabarovsk.
The Museum is regularly replenished with new interesting exhibits. For the 155-year anniversary of the city, in may 2013, before the residents and guests of the city were presented two new exhibitions under the title: "We're proud of Khabarovsk. Twin cities", "Khabarovsk a city of military glory", and also marked the opening of the first Children's Museum center.
The show entitled "City of military glory" is the logical conclusion of the five halls of the first floor. It reveals the heroic and glorious pages of the city. A new exhibition, called "We're proud of Khabarovsk", reflects the whole history of this city through his achievements and awards. The items reflect the economic and cultural relations of Khabarovsk and five sister cities.
