Frog Museum – the first Museum in Poland dedicated to all kinds of frogs. The Museum is located in the building next to the Directorate of the table mountain national Park in the Polish town of Kudowa-zdrój and was opened in 2002. The purpose of creating this unusual Museum is the conservation of populations of amphibians on earth, and studying their lifestyle.
The first part of the collection was transferred in Kudowa-zdrój from Berlin. Currently the permanent collection of the Museum has more than 3,000 exhibits representing 20 countries from all continents. Here you can see various species of frogs, preserved in formaldehyde exhibits, as well as a variety of household objects made in the shape of frogs. Among the exhibits submitted by: piggy banks, diving mask, sunglasses, various brooches and pins, soap dishes, wooden toys in the shape of frogs, ties with their image, ceramic pots and much more. The Museum is always ready to accept the donation of any item that is made in the form of a frog or having a similar image.
The Museum is especially frequented by schoolchildren and students. All visitors are told about the measures necessary for the conservation of frogs, and that can make every single person for a prosperous life of amphibians.
