The monastery of St. Luke, declared a cultural monument, is situated at the Northern foot of the Osogovo " in the area called "Postie monastery". Eight kilometers South of the monastery is the town of Kyustendil, and four kilometers to the South-West – village Boundary.
It is believed that this Orthodox monastery was founded in the X century. In the immediate vicinity scientists have discovered a medieval fortress, the Border that existed at the time of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. It was intended to monitor by of Velboa (fortified town, which was located where modern Kyustendil) in the Stip. In the period of Ottoman rule the monastery was repeatedly destroyed. Last time it was restored in 1948. There is a tradition that studied here Ivan Rilski is one of the most revered saints in Bulgaria.
Currently, the monastery is acting. In addition to buildings intended for housing, in the monastery complex includes a small single-aisled Church with a dome-less semi-cylindrical apse and added the bell tower. In the courtyard stands a fountain is a traditional Bulgarian fountain with faucet and running drinking water. The fountain is named after the three monks comes from the village Boundary, which restored the monastery, Joseph, David and Teavana. In the yard there is a gazebo, benches and tables.
Interesting fact – in a monastery garden were found two treasures: a few silver Venetian coins of the XIV century and many coins of the Byzantine emperors Alexius I Comnenus, Manuel I Comnenus, Andronicus I Comnenus and Isaac II Angelos.
