Maria wörth is a city located in Carinthia, on a Peninsula on the southern shore of the wörthersee, about 14 km West of Klagenfurt. The territory stretches over a hilly area with lots of forests. The population of Maria wörth is about one and a half thousand residents.

About 875 years on the highest point of the Peninsula was built the Church where they were buried the relics of the martyrs Primus and Felicianus. Bishop Otto of Freising in 1146-1150, he built another little Church, which was consecrated in 1155. Both churches were burned in 1399, but later restored.

Maria wörth is the centre of the Austrian and European summer tourism, come there every year about 300 thousand people. The main attractions of the town include: the former collegiate Church of St. Primus and part of the SUNY system, which is located on the highest point of the Peninsula. Today the Church is very popular among brides and grooms – many people tend to hold a wedding ceremony in such a beautiful and romantic place. The second Church is in the Western part and surrounded by a small cemetery. The interior of the temples are decorated with ancient frescoes.

Castle Reifnitz is nearby on the Cape, on the Northern edge of the homonymous Bay. It was built in the late 12th century, but survived only its Central part, and the tower.
