Equestrian sports are very popular in Finland. In 1909. as a result of the breeding work, there was a special bred purebred Finnish horses. For the first time in Lappeenranta equestrian events took place in 1817. Then they became an annual event.

In 1973 the city was built by the great Hippodrome of Raverat” 570 seats. At the same time there were held and the first jump. Each year, the Racecourse attracts nearly one million spectators.

Every year on the racetrack occurs the most important cultural event – the Royal races, causing the audience a storm of positive emotions. Everyone can bet on at the races betting, having experienced myself the favor of fate.

Tourists are attracted here not only horse racing, but horse-jumping competitions – run with obstacles and dressage, in which participants compete from different parts of the country.
