Aquarium and Exhibition of sharks that are located in the resort town of Lido di Jesolo, is a great way to see live reptiles, butterflies and predatory sharks. Also within its walls live snakes, turtles, tropical fish, spiders, Scorpions and a variety of insects. A special area has a Gallery of Butterflies, which attracts lovers of these fragile creatures of nature from around the world.
In the Shark Expo pavilion, located in the Palazzo del Turismo, 25 huge containers of water collected 60 of sharks from around the world belonging to 24 species. This is a unique opportunity to see these unusual creatures so close. Here the Zambezi shark is the only instance in the whole of Europe (all them in captivity contains three individuals, two others in South Africa and in Japan) and the impressive sand tiger sharks. Despite its fearsome appearance and dangerous fangs, actually these sharks are relatively calm and swim quite slowly, allowing to consider itself in all its glory. Tiger sand sharks once dwelled in the Mediterranean basin, however, has completely disappeared due to the fact that a person has procured them in large quantities. Bull shark, they're bullish, unfairly considered very dangerous because of its appearance – small eyes, always open mouth and long sharp fangs. In fact they prey only on small fish, squid and stingrays. It is long, sharp fangs allow bull sharks to bite into the prey, among which can be and octopus.
Also in Shark Expo, you can admire rare sharks-hammers, which are rarely seen in aquariums, yellow shark, incredibly elegant zebrovymi sharks, their smooth movements fascinate all visitors, two nurse sharks-babysitters – Oscar and Matilda, carpet shark and Asian cat shark. The smallest occupant exposure Dinah has only 10 cm, and the largest bull shark Rocco reaches 3 meters.
In the local Museum displays a huge white shark jaw, as well as fossils of shark teeth, ancient and modern adaptations to protect from attacks by these predators from around the world, numerous photographs and historical documents.
