The area of the Bay of Marmaris is three hundred sixty-six square kilometers. Marina hides in the heart of Marmaris, in a very picturesque place. It is located in the Northern extremity of the great Bay of the city, close to the green slopes of the hills, at the confluence of the two seas: the Aegean and Mediterranean. The coastline has a length of about thirty-four kilometers. Marmaris is often called the "Yachting Paradise." Netsel Marina is a sort of center for international yachting on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
The seaport has about 3400 registered yachts, 640 of which belong to foreign owners. The Marina in any weather gives shelter to more than 750 boats.
In late may, it attracts crews and captains to choose yachts and ships then the whole season will carry tourists to all corners of the Mediterranean: Italy, Turkey and Greece. Here hold the International Yacht Festival - international sailing festival. It takes place in mid-may, and at the end of October here on the whole week are the International Marmaris Yacht Races - international sailing races.
The only disadvantages include the fact that the place for repair and Parking lot on the shore is very small, which makes maneuvering in the Marina, and the water area is not very clean, so swimming is not allowed. Evening and night time it can be quite noisy due to the proximity of the famous Bar street.
Of course, Marina is good because it is located in the immediate vicinity of the city the centre can be reached on foot in ten minutes. It is situated close to the promenade and is separated from her curved pedestrian bridge.
People come here who have never seen a sailing yacht live to learn sailing. They help you gain the necessary skills to sail the yacht and to understand the poetry of the sea. For many people it's a complete revolution in the consciousness and the first step to a new page in my life. In Netsel Marina is based three sailing schools, two of which are very long: the American school of International Yachtmaster Training (IYT), which represents the company Gokova Yachting and the British school, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) of the company Yuksel Yachting. Recently opened East Aegean Sea School, based at the company's Phoenix Yachting. This school is partnered with a leading school in the UK - East Anglian Sea School and was certified by the Royal Yachting Association.
Netsel Marina has gained great popularity due to its huge shopping malls. On its territory will be able to see lots of shops selling yachting equipment, boutiques, designer clothes, souvenir shops, markets, bars and chic restaurants. Shops yacht with equipment close by the Marina, in an area called Soriana.
