The construction of the temple was almost fourteen years. The bulk of it was built in 1884, but the finishing work was completed in 1887. The temple was a single dome four-column construction, with a three-tiered bell tower, the completion of the bell tower and the dome tent. The bell tower of the Church before the revolution there were 12 bells, the largest of which weighed 490 pounds and was cast with the additive of silver.

The Church had three aisles: the Central chapel of the Resurrection; the South aisle — St John the Evangelist, North chapel — in honor of the assumption of the blessed virgin. The South aisle was consecrated John of Kronstadt on November 12, 1896. 19 August 1900 at the Cathedral for the divine Liturgy was attended by Emperor Nicholas II with his family.
