Museum of physical culture and sports of the Republic of Belarus was opened on 6 July 2006. The decision on creation of the Museum was taken on 24 may 2003 the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee and Ministry of sport and tourism of the Republic of Belarus.
The Museum shows the history of the development of sport in Belarus, sports and Olympic achievements of Belarusian athletes. The Museum's aim is the promotion of physical culture, sport and healthy lifestyle that is so true today in modern young Republic of Belarus.
The Museum exposition also introduces the history of the development of the Olympic Committee, with its structure and principle of operation. Exhibits that clearly explains the operations of the world's largest sports organizations and organizing committees. Here are the Olympic torches that were carried by outstanding Belarusian athletes in 1980 and 2006, the most important documents and photos. Visitors show Olympic medals Belarusian Champions. Created hall of fame with portraits of the most outstanding athletes of the country.
The Museum has two exhibition halls, meeting room, showroom, art gallery. The total exhibition area of 456 square meters.
In the Museum of physical culture and sport decided to celebrate sporting achievements popularly favorite athletes. Here exhibitions, reading interesting meetings with coaches and Champions of the country, educational lectures, hold events, agitating youth and students for an active healthy lifestyle.
