Mozyr drama theatre. Ivan Melia was established on the basis of national Mozyr theatre in 1990. It was a difficult time, when it was subjected to criticism and revision of the old theatre tradition and the new born creative teams. It happened with Mozyr folk theatre. Young creative artists together with the graduates of urban theater studios have created a new experimental theatre "September" (in Russian language the name means "September") under the leadership of Mikhail Ear.

A young creative team of the theater wanted to put their national modern drama. On a scene of theatre staged plays by G. Marchuk, J. Kulik, A. Zelandica, I. Sidoruk, F. Bulakov, Kupala, V. Volsky. In the years newfound Belarusian independence all theaters tried to put the pieces of their national playwrights.
