Romanesque house – building that was erected in poreč in the XIII century. The house is located at the beginning of the Decumanus street, near the square Marafor.

Romanesque house has been rebuilt and reconstructed, and the last such changes the building has undergone, most likely in the eighteenth century, when a second floor was added wooden balcony. In 1926, underwent another reconstruction, the result of which was the conversion of the building into an exhibition space.

Despite the fact that the house has hosted a variety of activities, he has maintained the same spirit, inherent in the old residential buildings.

Characteristics of the Romanesque house is simple and honest, the interior is without any internal partitions. Material for the building was of rough stone blocks. The window of the main facade is typical of Romanesque before. Completes the construction of an external staircase.

Before the end of the Second world war Romanesque house was part of the buildings destroyed in the bombings. Later the government of poreč decided not to restore them, so today the building is a separate object.
