American Museum of natural history is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world. A huge complex of twenty-seven interconnected buildings is across the street from Central Park. To explore it in one day and nothing to try: here 32 million artifacts.

The Museum was founded in 1869 by the efforts of celebrities, including Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. (father of President Theodore Roosevelt and grandfather of first lady Eleanor Roosevelt), banker and philanthropist Morris Jesup (funded Arctic expedition of Robert Peary, billionaire and philanthropist John Pierpont Morgan. The largest building with corner towers in neo-Romanesque style built by architect Josiah Cleveland Cady. The strongest impression is made by the Center for the study of earth and space – it is located in a giant transparent cube in which soar-lit areas. Within the main scope is "Outer path" is the path length of 110 meters, during which the visitor gets acquainted with the history of the Universe. One step along this path means 84 million years of evolution of the world. Here you can see a close cluster of stars, a spiral galaxy, the milky way.
