The only Museum of its kind "Nature" is located in the village Seamy side of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Founded the Museum in 1955 by the society of hunters Provided by the district. The Chairman of the wildlife society and initiator of the Museum was Semyon Ivanovich Trofimov, whose name was subsequently named the Museum. The main goal of the Museum is a representation endangered because of deforestation species of animals and birds and the preservation of the wealth of his native land for posterity.

Semyon Ivanovich invited from Moscow master Taxidermist Nicholas Nazimova, who made the bulk of stuffed animals for the Zoological Museum. Work Nazimova presented in several original compositions: "Nora Fox with cubs, Ferrets attacked a chicken", "Lynx do not share hare", "the Wolves with a calf and a large number of birds presented in their environment.

Created on the enthusiasm of local residents, the Museum "Nature" for a long time did not have its own premises, while in the village built a new school building and provided for the Museum halls. In February 1992, the Museum was named a people's Museum, and in 1995 the Museum was named after the founder of S. I. Trofimova.

Nowadays, the Museum's "Nature" to them. S. I. Trofimova is more than a thousand exhibits of birds and animals living in the Arzamas district collection of vintage clothing village Chernukha, a variety of Souvenirs of natural origin and much more, due to the nature and culture of the region.
