Museum-Underwater world Kelly Tarleton is located in the suburbs of Auckland - Orakei - on the shore of the Gulf Freemans. It was created in 1985 and almost immediately was recognized as an example of technology creating aquariums around the world. Practically the entire complex is under water.
Underwater world Kelly Tarleton is a complex of exhibitions of marine life living in an environment closer to their natural habitat. The complex is divided into five thematic exhibitions.
Center "Clash with the Antarctic," presents visitors with three species of penguins: Antarctic, gentoo and Emperor. Here are the restored hut polar Explorer, discoverer of the South Pole Robert Scott. To view this exhibition with a special mini-train (Snowcat), which, after passing through a dark tunnel, brings the viewer to the exhibition. From the point of view of the technology solutions centre is considered the best in the world.
"Stingray Bay" is a huge aquarium (350 000 litres of water), which serves as home to a large number of fish and two species of manta rays. The most prominent inhabitant of the Bay is considered to be a huge ramp named Phoebe. He weighs about 250 kg and a wingspan of Stingray or two meters.

"Underwater World" is the world's longest underwater tunnel (110 meters). The tunnel walls are made of transparent acryl thickness of 7mm. Visitors moves through the tunnel special transport tape. More than two thousand marine animals live in two thousand cubic metres of water. The tunnel is divided into two parts. First inhabited by sharks, the second - coral fish and flocks of beautiful blue maomao.
Section "Sea creatures" consists of a complex of relatively small aquariums, each containing a single species of sea creatures. Here presents piranhas, Moray eels, seahorses, octopus, crabs, Blowfish poisonous Blowfish and many others.
