The majestic white tower with red trim castle Hradec nad Moravici topped with a high roof grey. It can be seen from afar, though the castle and surrounded by an extensive English Park.

The small town of Hradec nad Moravici is located in the vicinity of Opava and not complain about the lack of tourists. The main attraction of the town is the Royal castle, consisting of two palaces. In the White Palace preserved historical interiors, which you can see a collection of art paintings, collected by the wealthy owners of the estate. The Red castle is now a luxury restaurant and a large concert venue. It is decorated in neo-Gothic style.

Both the Palace and the famous White tower were built on the site of an old wooden Fort. It happened at different times, for example, the tower appeared only in the XIX century.

When a wooden Fort was destroyed by the Mongol-Tatars, an important town on the trade route are not left without Royal attention. The přemysl Ottakar II ordered to build a stone castle here, later called White. In 1279 in the Palace Hradec nad Moravici settled Dowager Czech Queen.

After the great fire of 1531 the castle was rebuilt in Renaissance manner. His new owners were the nobles Praskova.

In the middle of the XVIII century the castle again changed owners. A little later there is another fire, which destroyed almost the entire library and a lot of valuable things from the situation of the castle. The Palace, rebuilt in the Empire style. Exactly what we see now.
