Unique city landmark with young railway was opened in the summer of 1953 and was on the opening day of a locomotive and five pre-revolutionary cars. Length of about six kilometers, the children's railway links the centre of Orenburg and suburban recreation area, passing through the picturesque coast of the Urals. Regularly scheduled stops are made at stations: Komsomolskaya (embankment of the Ural river), pioneer (urban beaches), oaks (children's camps) and Kirov. In 1983 there was a change of cars at all-metal, and in 1999, two locomotives have been maintained.
