The Church Of St. Anna Photo: Church Of St. Anna

The Church of St. Anne is located in the Ostrava region, which is called glade-over-Audrey. Funds for the construction of this temple were gathered. For control over the collected amount has been established for the society, the duties of whose members consisted simply report on the money spent. About 40 thousand guilders donated Countess Carolina of Berlingen. After 3 years – in 1885 – a total of 95 thousand gold. This was more than enough to start construction of a new Church. But fate would have it that only in 1891 was initiated selection of architects, respectively, and the work on the temple had been delayed by almost a year.

When the wizard has started erection of the facade, it was discovered that the location for the new temple was not chosen very well. Sandy soils were fragile and could not withstand high building. To strengthen the construction of the Foundation was constructed on durable, thick piles of wood.

The Church was consecrated by the name of St. Anna in 1893. It had a high tower topped with a cross. The new Church had only worked for a few days, when the impressive tower at the Church collapsed. None of the parishioners were not injured, but the temple had not looked so majestic as that was made by the creators, and the steeple of any Church was a must.

Prince Blucher wanted to build near the Church of St. Anne low molokoloco, but the initiative is always punishable, therefore, the city Council ordered him to invest in the construction of a huge 22-metre tower. The Prince agreed and built the required bell tower, but denied access to the temple, as announced by his private property. Then the city decided to buy the tower and paid for it 30 thousand gold.

Since then, the St. Anne's Church is open to the public. The interior of the Church is rather unusual: it is decorated with colorful plastic crosses and elegant mosaics.
