Dairy house (Molochna) was built in 1782 by the architect Charles Cameron in the "Swiss type". It is similar to the plan of the Dairy of the Duke of Wurttemberg. The plan was sent personally by Maria Feodorovna from an overseas trip to Europe. In a letter to K. I. Vilhelm kyukhelbekker (the Director of the Pavlovsk) A. L. Nicolai, who was at that time Secretary of the Empress, in addition to the plan of the Dairy was written and the wish of Maria Feodorovna, in what place to place. She wanted the cabin was in a remote corner of the Park, on the beach, to straight from the cow barn could go into the forest, and that it was well hidden that it was impossible to guess, until you are near him.

Cameron took into account these wishes. In our time, an unexpected meeting with Dairy house gives its guests Park constant delight. The walls of the Dairy – solid, made of brick, the outside is faced with cobblestones. The Foundation is very low, the roof was once covered with straw, with a wide canopy, which relied on the trunks of trees.

The idea is Cameron on the Northern facade of the building was made of a wooden staircase leading to the attic, where in the XVIII century, hay was stored. On the ridge of the roof was shed for the bell. Molochna match the fashion of the time on rural facilities and was very versatile in their purpose. It had: a dining room and a guest for the reception, a separate room for the worker who served Molochny, kitchen for cooking milk, the smaller part was reserved for the barn, which housed 6 cows. All the rooms inside were plastered and whitewashed. Kitchen with stone floor was covered in tiles from the tile. Here was arranged Russian oven, and served for milk, and for heating Milk house. The cellar was used for storing food.

Up to now the projects interior finishes of the Dairy were not saved, except for the 2 sketches artist and architect Kamporezi. There is a picture painted dome Seating and decor of one of the walls of the same room. But was the dome was painted is unknown. This topic is still a matter of dispute among researchers. And although living before the war had a ceiling in the form of a dome, no painting on it and on the walls were not identified. This is confirmed by the records of the Dairy house.

From these documents you can see that along the walls of the guest room have been placed shelves for collectible porcelain: Japanese, Chinese, Saxon, Dutch. Jugs, vases, flowerpots, cups, saucers – a total of 75 items. This collection gave the room a chic, elegant look, creating a tangible emphasized the contrast with the rough exterior of buildings, stylized old abandoned rural farm.

One of the favorite pastimes of the eighteenth century were the pavilions-blende, which included and Molochna. With the increase of the cattle population, for it was built a separate farmyard, located away from the Palace. In the Dairy house also housed flocks. From the list of 1801 there is information that there were stalls for sheep.

In the early nineteenth century, the house and farmyard moved to the village Glazovo. Here they had built a Farm. Molochna, having lost its former purpose, was turned into a Park pavilion. Still in the living room were treated to dairy products, which are delivered here from the Farm.

After the revolution, the Dairy house was adapted as housing for the workers of the administration of the Palace and Park. During the great Patriotic war the pavilion was destroyed. After the war it was repaired. You could say he served as the stables for the horses of the management of the Palace and Park. There were ideas to use the building for temporary exhibitions.

Over its long history, Dairy house burned not once, and before the revolution, and after them. The last fire occurred in 1991. After the pavilion was restored.
