Pinsky Epiphany fraternal monastery since antiquity has been the subject of contention between the Orthodox, Catholic and Uniate Church. There are two different versions of the origin of the monastery. According to the Orthodox version, the monastery was laid in the time of the Union of Brest on earth where this is now the abode of the pious Pinsk noblewoman Raisa film Garbardine who wished to remain Orthodox, contrary implanted Uniate religion. In 1596 she built on their land adjacent to the Orthodox Church and began to host Orthodox refugees by building for them also at the Church of the cells. In 1614 the forces of Orthodox citizens was built a wooden Church of the Epiphany, and monastic cells became known as the Epiphany monastery. However, it's not like the Uniate clergy, and in 1618, after a long strife transferred to the Catholics. Further, there is a continuous history of uprisings, riots, religious riots and rebellions.

The Catholic version is not so complicated and replete with stories of riots. In 1636 on the Market square on donations Stanislaw Albrecht Radziwill was laid huge Catholic monastery, which later also became the most famous Jesuit school in the country. The monastic complex was built 40 years. In 1787, the Jesuits were expelled from the Commonwealth, and in 1795 the huge building of the monastery passed to the Orthodox Church. In 1904 Epiphany monastery was founded by the Orthodox brotherhood of the name of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God.

During Polish rule Orthodoxy in Pinsk oppressed, and the temples were closed. During the Nazi occupation Orthodoxy was restored, the churches are open. There is evidence that the bishops of Pinsk on the Department continued to be appointed until 1952, and later all Orthodox churches were closed by the Soviet authorities.

Now the monastery has a Museum of Belarusian Polesye and children's choreographic school.
