The national Park Nahuel Huapi is located in the South of Argentina. The Park is named for the main attraction - the lake Nahuel Huapi. At present the territory of the Park is about 785 thousand ha.

The primary goal, the Park puts the protection of natural systems evergreen pine and beech forests. Some of these trees reach 500 years of age. The wildlife protected areas are unique and exotic. Here you can meet such interesting animals like dwarf deer (Pudu), Armadillo wescac, murine opossum, Andean deer, guanacos, deer. Notable among the birds of the Chilean Hummingbird, Magellanic woodpecker, wedge-tailed parrot, black-necked Swan, Rhea.

One of the natural attraction of the Park is an extinct volcano the tronador. Its height reaches 3491 meters above sea level.

The main attraction of the Park is lake Nahuel Huapi, is situated at an altitude of 767 m above sea level. But tourists are attracted not only extraordinarily beautiful scenery of lake and forest. Nahuel Huapi is a list of mysterious lakes on the planet. Believe that the lake is home to a mysterious creature similar to the Loch ness. This monster also called by the name of the lake. The mysterious creature periodically shown to the tourists and local residents. There are numerous legends of the Indian tribes that lived on the lake.
