Opera theatre of the city of Rousse is located on the square of the Holy Trinity. His extensive repertoire is able to satisfy even the most exacting demands of connoisseurs and lovers of Opera: from the stage are not only the now classic textbook and Opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi, but also more modern works by composers Stravinsky, Shostakovich and many others. Over the years, a flurry of activity on the stage of this theatre was delivered to over two hundred different musical and theatrical works, many of which were first for Bulgaria. On the stage of the Rousse Opera theatre in different years performed with many artists of international renown, such as: Raina Kabaivanska, Anna tomowa-Sintov, Nicolai Ghiaurov, Todorbotev, Elena Nicolai and others.

The theatre was established in 1949 on the basis of the Rousse Opera society and since 1956, thanks to the talent and professionalism of the creative team became widely known and regularly on tour in many countries of the world (Italy, Greece, France, Luxembourg, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Romania, Belgium, Spain, etc.).

In 1999, the Philharmonic orchestra and the Opera house of this city were United under the guidance of renowned far beyond the borders of Bulgaria conductor Found Todorov. Currently, there are two rooms, total capacity of which is up six places. In addition, the newly formed company has its own recording Studio.
