Tomb Demir Baba is located in the historical and archaeological historical and archaeological reservation Sboryanovo. Geographically, the reserve is located in the West of Ludogorie plateau (riverlands river Crepines, between the villages of Sveshtari and Malak-Borovets). The complex consists of ancient settlements, necropolises and sanctuaries.

A place of worship is the tomb-the mausoleum, it is considered sacred by the representatives of the Alevis (the second name - qyzylbashs). Their beliefs and practices differ from generally accepted Muslim rites. So, they revere the tombs of their saints, called the tomb. Demir Baba (in Turkish means "Iron Father") is one such saints.

Accurate data on the identity Demir Baba did not survive. Locals report that he lived in the 16th century. About him, his power and made by him the wonders of many legends.

Tomb Demir Baba was built in the 17th century on the place that was sacred to all local peoples for 2 thousand years before the erection of the mausoleum. Christians also belong to this place with reverence. The legend says that there once was consistently ancient Thracian sanctuary, and later the Bulgarian pagan temple, then a Christian monastery. However, many structures have survived to the present day only the tomb-the mausoleum Demir Baba. Also preserved is a rock where a sacrifice was made, located in front of the entrance of the courtyard at the tomb.
