É exhibition hall was opened in 1988. This cultural institution is located in the heart of Rzhev, at the intersection of two main streets of the Soviet side of the city. Exhibition hall is located on the second floor of a merchant's mansion, belonging to the 19th century, and covers an area of 150 sq. m.

The main task of Rzhev exhibition hall – exhibitions of works of art; to give artists the opportunity to present their work to the viewer.

The exhibition hall has a modern decoration, it has the original lighting, the hall is divided into three exhibition complex. All this provides new opportunities for holding various exhibitions. Thanks to a specially designed and manufactured specifically for this audience the equipment every exhibition gets a brand new solution exhibition space.

Recently rzhevskii showroom has significantly expanded the scope of its activities. He is an active participant in the preparation and conduct of the picturesque open-air, which strengthen the position of this institution of culture in the artistic environment. In the open air in the Rzhev come known artists from Tver and Tver region, Vladimir, Smolensk, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Lipetsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow. At the end of the plein air artists send a gift to the city of their paintings, with views of the city.

In 2007-2008 in Rzhev exhibition hall, there were exhibitions by contemporary artists: people's artist of Russia M. Abakumov, sculptor Dmitry Tugarinov, people's artist of Russia E. Zverkov, people's artist of Russia Vladimir Makeev.

In the exhibition hall constantly held discussions and tours with experienced professionals that contribute to the acquisition of knowledge about contemporary art, the development of creative abilities.
