Park "Lipki" is one of the oldest and most beautiful places in Saratov, marked the beginning of the modern center of the city. Bookmark garden was started in 1825 built around Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Landed over a thousand seedlings of lime and guarded by a wooden fence, the Park was called "the Boulevard", but in common, the affectionately - "sticky." And though the gates of the garden hung a sign "sign in the lower ranks and dogs prohibited," the alleys of the Park became a favorite place of people of different classes.

From 1850 to 1860, under the leadership of mayor Maslennikov in the Park appeared comfortable arbours, benches, installed lighting kerosene lamps, and there were paved walkways and flowerbeds.

The name sticky so taken to heart the townspeople, that in 1876 established the official name of the Park - sticky.

In 1908 workshops in the Alexander trade school have produced a wrought iron fence from iron on sketches by artist S. Chekhonin, ornament stamp included sturgeon fish (now restored and on display in the Central fountain in the Park). In the years 1906-1909 kerosene lighting in the Park was replaced with electric. In 1930-e years after the demolition of the Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky, the resulting vacant lot was given to the construction of the stadium "Dynamo".

Since 1995, the Lipki Park has the status of historical and cultural heritage of Federal importance. In 2004, on the anniversary of the Park was laid the memorial stone and earned glass globe fountain.

Now in limes to the delight of children and parents enjoy the children's Playground with attractions. You can sit in a cozy cafe and get some fresh air on the wrought antique benches. Also has a library with a reading room and chess club.
