In 1903 in Saratov came a new Governor P. A. Stolypin and acquired the unfinished house of Reynard Miller under the provincial residence. The construction project at the corner of wolska and Small Sergius (now Michurin) Pyotr Stolypin was entrusted to famous Saratov architect – A. Klimenko.
By the middle of 1904 in the building of the Governor's residence, entered the family of Stolypin. On the ground floor were residential apartments and the second floor – reception room, several offices and stylishly decorated mirror hall for receptions. At the end of construction of the residence by the architects D. F. and A. Sterligov N. Klimenko started the project of a nearby building – provincial office.
Two buildings in neoclassical style, and form a single architectural ensemble. In the governorate of residence lived and worked for five governors of the Saratov: P. A. Stolypin, Sergei Tatishchev, P. A. Stremoukhov, A. A. Shirinsky-Shamatov and S. D. Tverskaya.
Soon after the October revolution, the building was occupied by an Executive Committee headed by V. P. Antonov-Saratovsky and rapidly growing bureaucracy, not pomadas in the Governor's apartment, soon moved out to another building.
In the 1930s, the building the office is a clinic for party officials, and the Governor's residence – tuberculosis Institute.
Now in the complex of buildings with a sign "Monument" is a regular clinic (office) and deposited organizations for the protection of the architectural heritage, regional TB dispensary (in the residence of the governors).
