Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola is a historic building in the Gothic revival style, also known as the Xujiahui Cathedral. Cathedral is located in Shanghai, and in 1950 it is the Cathedral of the Shanghai diocese. The erection of this building was engaged by the French Jesuit monks in the late nineteenth century. The author of the project was made by architect William Doyle. It was consecrated in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola - the founder of the society of Jesus (Jesuit order).
