In South-Western Sydney on 416 acres of hilly terrain houses the largest in the Australian Botanic garden mount Annan. The garden opened in 1988, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, contains a vast collection of typical Australian plants – more than 4 thousand copies! It was in this garden in 1995 were first cultivated vollemskie pine – the oldest plants on Earth, accidentally discovered a year earlier in the national Park "Wollemi" 200 km from Sydney.
