Patong is a three-kilometer sandy beach and a small town on the Western tip of Phuket. This is the main tourist resort of the island, it concentrated most popular shops, hotels, clubs and bars. Patong gained popularity among the Western tourists since the 1980s, and to date has become a real tourist Mecca.

About the nightlife in Patong, Phuket in Thailand is legendary. It is considered the most colourful, noisy and vibrant throughout the country. On December 26, 2004 Patong beach, like other parts of the West coast of Phuket, was destroyed by a powerful tsunami. He suffered much more than others.
