The Tver city Museum and exhibition centre is located on Sovetskaya street. It was organized in may 2007, the first exhibition was opened in June. In March 2009, the centre became a municipal institution of culture and continued its activities in three halls each month exhibitions, varying in scale from urban to international.

The exhibition center is in Tver the largest exhibition venue with necessary for the organization of exhibitions of unique equipment and facilities. The center staff consists of about 40 employees. Cozy rooms and halls of the exhibition center is equipped with the latest lighting systems and suspension paintings, apparatus for monitoring climatic conditions, showcases and special exhibition equipment. Exhibition area of the center is 608, 3 sq. m.

The centre conducted the artistic and specialized exhibitions, conducted training and creative work with the younger generation, novice photographers, artists and masters of decorative-applied creativity. In the centre there are opportunities to conduct regional studies, education, art work, creative meetings with famous countrymen, musical and literary evenings, classes and clubs.

Tver Museum and exhibition centre for a short time of its existence has grown to love the people of the city, it is well frequented by both the young people of Tver, and representatives of the older generation, both students and established professionals, art lovers and professional artists. In the year, the centre is visited by over 20 thousand people.

The largest project of the center are dedicated to the reflection in the photos of Sofia under the title "the Soul of Sofia. It was organized with the participation of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Russia in 2009, and "International Biennale" (exhibition of graphic arts), held in Varna in 2009.
