Alpine Museum, located in the village of Bard, in the Italian region of Val d'aosta, offers visitors a fascinating journey into the past and witness the process of formation and evolution of the Alps. The journey begins with the ascent to the peaks of Alpine four-thousandths using images of mountainous scenery and listening to "mountain Symphony". Special appliances used in the exhibit, create the effect of real presence in mountain huts, tunnels and slopes of the mountains. With 3D models you can immerse yourself in the contemplation of changing seasons of nature, to see Alpine plants and persistent inhabitants of the rugged mountains and even feel like an eagle soaring over the top of Mont Blanc, above the picturesque landscapes of Val d'aosta, glaciers, waterfalls and castles.
In the geographical interactive map room introduces visitors to the ancient Tethys ocean, the bottom of which once were the current peaks of the Alps. And the history of the most famous Alpine peaks is dedicated to a special room. Single room occupied by the exposition, tells the story of the relationship between man and mountains, the history of Alpine civilization and its cultures. Especially popular tourists hall, which exhibits objects from the first conquerors of the mountain peaks of the romantic 19th century.
Only in the Alpine Museum, located on the ground floor of the so-called "Opera Carlo Alberto is one of the major components of the picturesque Fort of Bard, 29 exhibition halls. They are divided into four parts, each of which can be viewed themed video accompanied by a special storyteller – naturalist, geographer, anthropologist and meteorologist.
