One of the most mysterious places in Russia is located in the Volgograd region, near the town of Zhirnovsk. Blue mountain, the Slope of the mad lightning, Grove drunken birches, devil's lair and a lot of other names were given to the Central highlands in Medveditsky ridge, one of the highest points (293 m) plain part of Russia.
Every summer Medveditsky ridge attracts many tourists and researchers who wish to understand and see unexplained phenomena of nature and their consequences. On the Slope of a furious lightning occur regularly light phenomena in clear weather, the sudden stop of the motor vehicles and flying helicopters, changing the behavior of people and animals.
