Tower al-Bahar – twenty-five-storeyed complex located in the East of Abu Dhabi. These two iconic twin, which today are a gateway to the East of the city, were erected recently in 2012 In the form of structures perfectly combines proven for centuries the traditions of Arab architecture and modern technological solutions. The construction of the complex has been the company Aedas Architects in conjunction with the British developer Arup Engineers. Together they designed and built an extraordinary facade, preserving the traditions of Arab architecture and design. According to the architects, their main task was to keep in the summer season cool the temperature in the rooms of the complex, reducing the use of a huge number of air conditioners.

New and not the usual lattice facade wraps the exterior walls of skyscrapers al Bahar, except one - North. With three sides, the facades are covered with special decorative panels, each of which consists of a so-called movable modules. Under the influence of sunlight, the panels exposed, thereby forming on the facade of the towers of the original relief. If the lighting changes, the panel is automatically closed, creating a beautiful modern openwork pattern. It should be noted that in parallel with the reduction of 50% penetration into the premises of solar heat, latticed facade provides free ventilation of buildings and reduces the need for artificial light. This allowed the builders to improve the comfort of the employees working in ADIC, using tinted glass.
