This structure has several names – the House of the tree of life, crafts house, the house of Adam and eve. But most of all it is known as the House of Adam. In 1922, this building was declared a historic monument, today there are several companies and stores where you can buy Handicrafts made by local craftsmen.

The Adam house is centrally located in Angers, at the intersection of Mono with the area St. Croix. The building was built in the late XV century in a style that cannot be confused with any other. The combination of wooden beams and plastered stone masonry together with unique carved figures adorning the walls and Windows that make the building very interesting example of medieval half-timbered architecture.
