Exhibition hall of Baden-Baden is the oldest cultural institution of the city and the region. Since its opening in 1909, it is the space to accommodate works of independent artists both classic art and modern. Freedom in the development of the program – the main feature of the work of the Exhibition hall, allowing this cultural institution to respond flexibly to trends. Traditionally, in the year there are four exhibitions devoted to individual artists, in addition, the exposition, which reflect historical or current issues of art and culture.

The art Nouveau building is the work of architect Hermann Billing, who chose an asymmetrical shape for your project. He complemented the facade by pilasters with ionic capitals, triangular pediments and ornaments of antiquity. Austerity and minimalism of the building of the Exhibition hall is now perceived normal and familiar, and a century ago the work of the architect was subjected to harsh criticism. Refusal decorations associated with poverty, so visitors were few.

The first floor of the building – a place for exhibitions, and going down to the basement via the stairs you can get into the Art room, a cafeteria and administrative offices. In 2004 the building of the Exhibition hall was made an extension in the form of a glazed bridge connecting it with the Museum Frieder Burda.
