Present in the house during the Second world war, the ethnographic Museum of Bangkok is a description of life in the big city these days. The original building, built in 1937, belonged to the family of Suravali, but later he gave to the organization of the Museum in order to preserve the lifestyle of the early Bangkok Bangrak district. October 1, 2004, the Museum came under the management of the Bangkok Metropolitan administration.
Ethnographic Museum consists of two buildings and a cosy garden. In the Central house are the items left over from the family Suravali who originally lived in the building of the present Museum.
