The Palace Palau de La Generalitat, located at plaça Sant Nahum, is a building of the Autonomous government of Catalonia, which is both architectural and historical monument and the centre of political life of the province. Above the entrance to the Palace is the statue of Saint George – the patron Saint of Catalonia. Office building facade facing the street Bisbee, was developed by mark SAFECOM in 1416. The Catalan Parliament (Corts) was founded in 1289, as the body representing the interests of the whole community of Catalonia.
