Park of the North sea (Beihai) is located North of the Imperial Palace Museum in Beijing. Beihai, or the North sea, is one of the 6 lakes connected by canals with the Summer Palace. The residence was built near the banks of the Middle and South lakes, South of Beihai.

Many graceful bridges, gardens, pavilions and galleries includes Beihai, and also built in Tibetan style pagoda. Landscapes and buildings of the Park, displaying great architectural style and the unique art of creating traditional Chinese garden – a real masterpiece of landscape design.

Each part, which are divided from the Park, has its special atmosphere. White marble bridge, called the bridge of Eternal tranquility - Yunanca - leads from the southern shore of the island.

The bridge called Jiangzao - Directed to the hill - connects the Eastern shore with the island. Buddhist temple (1651) and the White pagoda (Bytes) of white limestone, built in honor of the Dalai Lama - are located in the jade Islands (Qinhuangdao). Pagoda surrounded on all sides by connecting with each other galleries and pavilions. Lama Sutra and paraphernalia are kept inside the pagoda. Covered gallery runs along the Northern shore of the jade Islands.

Will not leave you indifferent and gorgeous, free standing monument, decorated on both sides with tiles – Wall of Nine dragons, and the Pavilion of the Five Dragons, with his gallery fished another court. Still can't count the number of images of dragons here.

Here you can also see the Drum tower, Pavilion calm the mind, and much more. Another famous traveler Marco Polo mentioned in his notes the amazing beauty of this Park.

To the North side of the lake Beihai, you can cross the river on a pleasure boat with a small pier which is located here. Tourists will get an indescribable pleasure, exploring Beihai Park on a catamaran or a pleasure boat. It is better to visit on a weekday, as this is a popular holiday destination among locals.
