The Tegel Palace is one of the most attractive monuments of Berlin – located on the shore of lake Tegel. Feature of the castle is a magnificent Park, and the Palace appeared on the spot where stood the manor. The first building appeared here in 1558, and it was designed in the Renaissance style. The estate is not original and was not in any way known.

Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg, prismotrevshis this place for another of his residence, gave the order to rebuild the estate, giving it the appearance of a traditional hunting castle. The previous building was not gone, but the classic shape of the Palace and today arouse interest among tourists. The second name of the Palace is the Palace of Humboldt, because it is from the 1700's became the family seat of this family for many years. On the creation of the Palace worked by the famous architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel, and the style of the building is most inclined to classicism. The famous Park broke here after another reorganization in years 1777-1789, the author of the project was Johann Christian Gottlieb kunt. Today, residents of the estate – a family by the name of Heinz – are direct descendants of the famous Humboldt Park Tegel Palace is one of the favourite promenades of the citizens and guests of the city at any time of the year.
