Myndos gate, part of the town fortifications, served as the Western entrance to the city. The name they received in honor of Myndos ancient city toward which they were converted.

In ancient times the gates were three towers, in front of them held a protective trench width of 15 meters and a depth of 8 meters. They were attacked by Alexander the great, when he decided to capture the city. The defenders fought desperately, but unsuccessfully: the city was captured and razed to the ground by order of Alexander the great. Spared was the only Mausoleum.

From the gates of the ruins of the lateral parts. Next to them was found in Greek and Roman tombs. Currently there are restoration work.
