Cathedral of the Resurrection in Barysaw – the monument of architecture of the pseudo-Russian style of the XIX century, the hallmark of the city of Borisov.

The ceremony of laying the first stone, which was attended by the Bishop of Minsk and Bobruisk Alexander was held on 5 September 1871. The first worship service at the Cathedral took place on 20 October 1874.

The Cathedral was designed by St. Petersburg architect p. P. Merkulov. For interior design and murals were invited wilenska artists Ilichevsky and Trutnev.

In 1907, the bell tower was built a high brick bell tower. The author of the project – Minsk architect Victor Stroev. The initiator of the construction Borisov became known philanthropist and Church warden officer Neil Burtsev.
